Agatti Island has one of the most beautiful lagoons in Lakshadweep. The airport is built on this island. Entry Permit is issued based on the visitor having a confirmed place to stay with a sponsored Permit.
The southern side of the island is less populated whereas the main population of the island lies in the northern side, the eastern shore comprises of sand that rises from the level of reef flat at the time of low tides. The slow pace of life at the island is really wonderful experience and makes someone feel every moment of life is precious. Adventurous aquatic sports like kayaking, snorkeling, sailing, scuba diving, fishing and Water Skiing on the beaches makes this place a virtual paradise for the travelers.
